Creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe [del.icio.us]

This recipe is extremely hostess-friendly. For best results, make it the day before your party or get-together.10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained9-ounce can artichoke bottoms, well drained and diced8-ounce package cream cheese, softened2 cups sour cream1/2 cup mayonnaise1/2 cup finely chopped green onions1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried dill weed)1/4 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepperfew drops of Tabasco or your favorite hot sauceBe sure that the spinach is well drained. In fact, you can put it between several sheets of paper towels and give it a squeeze to remove any excess moisture.

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well until blended. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or up to 24.

Makes about 5 cups.

This dip is a true party favorite. The recipe makes a lot, but you'll need a lot once your guests get started. The serving dishes in our photograph are Fiesta dinnerware.
