Spiced with cloves, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg, this fragrant cake is popular during the holidays. However, we see no reason that our recipe for Spice Cake cannot be enjoyed any time of year. Spice Cake is typically made as a two-layer cake, but it's easier to make as a sheath cake in a single 9 x 13 pan, and frosted.
